Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 3.52% or 350 points to trade at 10300 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.61% or 570 points to end at 22420 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 2.56% or 140 points to 5600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 3.07% or 106 points to trade at 3351 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 0.30% or 2 points to end at 694 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 0.20% or 16 points to 8055.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 265 to 128 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.61% or 570 to 22420.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.15% or 0.08 to $53.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.70% or 0.44 to hit $62.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.07% or 14.45 to trade at $1331.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.18% to 3.5790, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.0499.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.703.
