Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 6.96% or 82 points to trade at 1260 at the close. Meanwhile, Shufersal (TASE:SAE) added 4.86% or 124 points to end at 2676 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 4.20% or 64 points to 1589 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 2.29% or 470 points to trade at 20030 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 1.97% or 8.0 points to end at 398.6 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 1.01% or 26 points to 2557.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 284 to 109 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.30% or 0.51 to $39.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.72% or 0.30 to hit $41.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 7.25 to trade at $1895.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.50% to 3.4261, while EUR/ILS fell 0.77% to 4.0122.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.977.
