Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 8.91% or 445.00 points to trade at 5,439.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 4.92% or 1,570.00 points to end at 33,490.00 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) was up 3.03% or 1,750.00 points to 59,450.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 2.06% or 1,430.00 points to trade at 68,000.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 1.84% or 57.00 points to end at 3,035.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 1.54% or 3,260.00 points to 207,900.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 248 to 233 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.01% or 1.65 to $83.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.26% or 1.11 to hit $89.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 10.75 to trade at $1,717.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.69% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 3.43.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 110.00.
