Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which rose 9.96% or 3,640.00 points to trade at 40,200.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 5.45% or 3,910.00 points to end at 75,630.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 3.26% or 500.00 points to 15,830.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 1.98% or 43.00 points to trade at 2,128.00 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 1.92% or 2,790.00 points to end at 142,660.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 1.91% or 106.00 points to 5,435.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 307 to 137 and 95 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.26% or 500.00 to 15,830.00. Shares in Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.91% or 106.00 to 5,435.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.61% or 1.24 to $75.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.54% or 1.24 to hit $79.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 1.10 to trade at $2,426.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.71% to 3.72, while EUR/ILS rose 1.27% to 4.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 104.41.
