Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 6.57% or 94 points to trade at 1525 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 5.29% or 163 points to end at 3243 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 4.72% or 850 points to 18850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which fell 1.80% or 280 points to trade at 15240 at the close. Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) declined 1.53% or 74 points to end at 4752 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 1.19% or 190 points to 15770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 265 to 147 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.66% or 0.30 to $45.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.77% or 0.37 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 2.05 to trade at $1832.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.58% to 3.2642, while EUR/ILS fell 0.23% to 3.9665.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 90.632.
