Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL), which rose 6.66% or 2680 points to trade at 42940 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 4.95% or 128 points to end at 2715 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) was up 4.39% or 1890 points to 44990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which fell 3.92% or 133 points to trade at 3260 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 3.13% or 480 points to end at 14860 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 1.23% or 250 points to 20110.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 228 to 182 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) rose to all time highs; up 4.95% or 128 to 2715.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.45% or 0.23 to $50.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.49% or 0.27 to hit $55.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 5.55 to trade at $1568.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.26% to 3.4306, while EUR/ILS fell 0.42% to 3.7666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 98.355.
