Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.73% or 58 points to trade at 1283 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 4.17% or 910 points to end at 22720 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was up 2.76% or 1260 points to 46900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which fell 1.15% or 27 points to trade at 2317 at the close. Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) declined 1.10% or 14.0 points to end at 1256.0 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was down 0.94% or 23 points to 2422.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 198 to 178 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.27% or 1.16 to $52.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.32% or 0.79 to hit $60.76 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1249.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.22% to 3.7509, while EUR/ILS fell 0.11% to 4.2470.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.380.
