Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 3.49% or 114 points to trade at 3385 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 2.56% or 52 points to end at 2085 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was up 1.87% or 250 points to 13600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 3.99% or 55 points to trade at 1324 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 1.66% or 55 points to end at 3250 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was down 1.60% or 290 points to 17890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 293 to 153 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.97% or 0.62 to $64.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.11% or 0.74 to hit $67.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 6.55 to trade at $1767.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.2487, while EUR/ILS fell 0.08% to 3.9358.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 90.662.
