Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 9.03% or 58 points to trade at 698 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 8.27% or 212 points to end at 2774 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 4.33% or 3060 points to 73700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG), which fell 3.90% or 1000 points to trade at 24620 at the close. Melisron (TASE:MLSR) declined 2.88% or 600 points to end at 20260 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was down 2.86% or 138 points to 4692.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 210 to 172 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.45% or 0.26 to $57.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $62.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 9.45 to trade at $1501.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.54% to 3.5428, while EUR/ILS rose 0.60% to 3.9156.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 98.292.
