Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 3.65% or 66.00 points to trade at 1,875.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 3.49% or 251.00 points to end at 7,450.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.42% or 3,160.00 points to 95,600.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which fell 2.23% or 225.00 points to trade at 9,875.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 1.16% or 320.00 points to end at 27,150.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 1.07% or 120.00 points to 11,080.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 315 to 164 and 58 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.62% or 0.45 to $72.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.68% or 0.53 to hit $77.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 8.20 to trade at $2,051.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.13% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS rose 0.45% to 4.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 102.07.
