Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.50% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 6.83% or 1640 points to trade at 25660 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 3.49% or 311 points to end at 9216 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 3.28% or 1130 points to 35630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 3.21% or 5700 points to trade at 172030 at the close. Harel (TASE:HARL) declined 2.56% or 80 points to end at 3040 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 2.50% or 131 points to 5099.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 199 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $52.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.61% or 0.34 to hit $55.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 6.30 to trade at $1848.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.94% to 3.1866, while EUR/ILS rose 1.86% to 3.8712.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 90.235.
