Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 3.78% or 820 points to trade at 22500 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 2.29% or 56 points to end at 2499 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 2.21% or 205 points to 9491 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 2.60% or 5310 points to trade at 198920 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 2.43% or 9.6 points to end at 385.1 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was down 1.68% or 780 points to 45770.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 282 to 212 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.29% or 56 to 2499.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.66% or 1.29 to $78.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.64% or 1.33 to hit $82.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 7.65 to trade at $1759.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.2327, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 3.7523.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 93.890.
