Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.44% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 2.47% or 74 points to trade at 3068 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 2.02% or 65 points to end at 3281 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was up 1.87% or 127 points to 6927 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which fell 1.39% or 660 points to trade at 46880 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 1.29% or 16 points to end at 1227 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 1.09% or 310 points to 28100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 305 to 167 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.74% or 1.80 to $67.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.84% or 1.94 to hit $70.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.95 to trade at $1807.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.2191, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 3.7807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 92.993.
