Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.38% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.01% or 88 points to trade at 2284 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 1.96% or 1250 points to end at 65070 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.21% or 380 points to 31750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT), which fell 1.81% or 900 points to trade at 48710 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 1.08% or 190 points to end at 17370 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was down 0.77% or 15 points to 1931.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 224 to 173 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.06% or 0.51 to $48.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.61% or 0.33 to hit $54.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.79 to trade at $1327.91 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.5452, while EUR/ILS fell 0.37% to 4.2243.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 92.25.
