Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 9.06% or 141 points to trade at 1697 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TA:HARL) added 3.58% or 96 points to end at 2780 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.95% or 440 points to 22970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Partner (TA:PTNR), which fell 3.66% or 76 points to trade at 1999 at the close. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 2.96% or 99 points to end at 3247 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 2.18% or 1360 points to 61050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 219 to 180 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.33% or 0.86 to $65.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.57% or 0.40 to hit $70.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 14.70 to trade at $1351.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.4135, while EUR/ILS rose 0.79% to 4.2240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 89.17.
