Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.31% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 5.24% or 4,760.00 points to trade at 95,530.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 4.55% or 312.00 points to end at 7,162.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 4.26% or 74.00 points to 1,813.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which fell 2.19% or 129.00 points to trade at 5,771.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 2.18% or 640.00 points to end at 28,700.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was down 1.97% or 56.00 points to 2,785.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 205 and 76 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $69.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $73.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 11.91 to trade at $2,679.81 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.03% to 3.61, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 3.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 106.21.
