Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.29% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which rose 5.02% or 485 points to trade at 10140 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) added 4.72% or 940 points to end at 20840 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 4.49% or 105 points to 2444 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 8.30% or 261 points to trade at 2885 at the close. Shufersal (TASE:SAE) declined 1.92% or 51 points to end at 2605 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.91% or 24 points to 1232.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 201 to 194 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.17% or 0.46 to $38.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.97% or 0.40 to hit $40.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.71% or 51.35 to trade at $1947.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.3763, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 3.9912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 92.685.
