Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Real Estate and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 4.10% or 57 points to trade at 1447 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 3.85% or 10.2 points to end at 275.2 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.42% or 1980 points to 59870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL), which fell 2.58% or 1150 points to trade at 43450 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.14% or 12 points to end at 539 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 1.83% or 68 points to 3652.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 267 to 127 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.58% or 1150 to 43450.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.34% or 0.18 to $53.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $58.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.15 to trade at $1568.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.01% to 3.4520, while EUR/ILS fell 0.19% to 3.7971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 97.960.
