Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 3.37% or 108 points to trade at 3309 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 3.14% or 7.2 points to end at 236.2 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.99% or 1530 points to 52640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 2.82% or 2250 points to trade at 77600 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 2.68% or 268 points to end at 9714 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 2.34% or 51 points to 2127.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 194 to 176 and 45 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.99% or 1530 to 52640.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $53.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.66% or 0.41 to hit $61.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 14.75 to trade at $1325.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.6206, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 4.0615.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 97.393.
