Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.24% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 4.72% or 4610 points to trade at 102200 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 3.77% or 74 points to end at 2039 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 3.03% or 13.1 points to 445.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 4.56% or 99 points to trade at 2071 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 3.98% or 350 points to end at 8440 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was down 1.74% or 650 points to 36600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 245 to 160 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.72% or 4610 to 102200. Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.77% or 74 to 2039.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.05% or 0.71 to $68.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $76.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.53% or 18.30 to trade at $1212.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.55% to 3.6270, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.2215.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 95.08.
