Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which rose 4.00% or 920.00 points to trade at 23,900.00 at the close. Meanwhile, NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 2.89% or 2,090.00 points to end at 74,470.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was up 2.19% or 22.00 points to 1,028.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG), which fell 2.63% or 960.00 points to trade at 35,600.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) declined 2.41% or 138.00 points to end at 5,590.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was down 2.40% or 25.00 points to 1,015.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 244 to 220 and 75 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.82% or 2.04 to $70.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.41% or 1.86 to hit $75.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 11.35 to trade at $2,047.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.52% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS fell 0.56% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 103.92.
