Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 1.25% or 1060 points to trade at 85990 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 1.08% or 2.9 points to end at 271.2 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 0.69% or 19 points to 2753 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TASE:ORL), which fell 0.70% or 1.3 points to trade at 184.3 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 0.55% or 310 points to end at 56330 and Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL) was down 0.54% or 280 points to 51540.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 194 to 89 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.91% or 0.52 to $57.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.37% or 0.24 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 7.55 to trade at $1407.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.6027, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.1045.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.580.
