Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 2.66% or 490 points to trade at 18890 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 2.65% or 8.4 points to end at 325.4 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 2.45% or 690 points to 28860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which fell 1.72% or 240 points to trade at 13730 at the close. Leumi (TASE:LUMI) declined 1.45% or 32 points to end at 2168 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was down 1.42% or 62 points to 4292.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 266 to 178 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.67% or 0.43 to $64.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $67.89 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 6.55 to trade at $1723.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.3207, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 3.9594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 91.832.
