Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.96% or 220 points to trade at 3912 at the close. Meanwhile, Matrix (TASE:MTRX) added 2.79% or 223 points to end at 8209 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 2.37% or 217 points to 9367 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 4.86% or 63 points to trade at 1232 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) declined 2.96% or 123 points to end at 4028 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 2.59% or 680 points to 25590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 242 to 202 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 8.19% or 5.29 to $59.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 8.04% or 5.47 to hit $62.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 7.15 to trade at $1734.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.2950, while EUR/ILS fell 0.20% to 3.9253.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 91.858.
