Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 3.15% or 120.00 points to trade at 3,928.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 3.04% or 33.00 points to end at 1,120.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 2.31% or 4,510.00 points to 200,110.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 3.73% or 220.00 points to trade at 5,680.00 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 1.87% or 22.00 points to end at 1,157.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 1.43% or 139.00 points to 9,600.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 266 to 219 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.15% or 120.00 to 3,928.00. Shares in Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.73% or 220.00 to 5,680.00. Shares in Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.31% or 4,510.00 to 200,110.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.23% or 2.24 to $102.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.57% or 2.69 to hit $107.33 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 3.00 to trade at $1,979.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.22% to 3.21, while EUR/ILS rose 0.77% to 3.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 99.89.
