Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Opko Health Inc (NASDAQ:OPK), which rose 7.92% or 0.380 points to trade at 5.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) added 4.15% or 68 points to end at 1707 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 3.12% or 39 points to 1288 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 3.40% or 84 points to trade at 2390 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 2.79% or 610 points to end at 21230 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) was down 2.75% or 20 points to 708.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 207 to 194 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.52% or 0.64 to $42.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.89% or 0.40 to hit $45.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.45% or 47.75 to trade at $1997.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.10% to 3.4048, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 4.0418.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.802.
