Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shufersal (TA:SAE), which rose 5.13% or 114 points to trade at 2335 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 3.63% or 48 points to end at 1372 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was up 2.58% or 1.0 points to 39.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which fell 4.36% or 110 points to trade at 2415 at the close. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 3.63% or 50 points to end at 1326 and Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) was down 2.24% or 870 points to 37890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 231 to 156 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Partner (TA:PTNR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.63% or 50 to 1326.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.07% or 1.38 to $68.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.38% or 1.80 to hit $77.29 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1300.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.48% to 3.5756, while EUR/ILS rose 0.15% to 4.1521.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 94.32.
