Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which rose 2.26% or 1470 points to trade at 66600 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 2.07% or 23 points to end at 1136 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.85% or 40 points to 2208 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which fell 3.06% or 179 points to trade at 5671 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) declined 1.55% or 38 points to end at 2421 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was down 1.40% or 26 points to 1827.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 199 to 197 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.06% or 179 to 5671.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.44% or 1.17 to $46.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.10% or 0.57 to hit $51.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.91% or 11.85 to trade at $1309.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.5805, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 4.2791.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 92.29.
