Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.02% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 5.77% or 446 points to trade at 8180 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 2.15% or 9.0 points to end at 428.5 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.89% or 28 points to 1513 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which fell 2.56% or 62 points to trade at 2363 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.06% or 189 points to end at 8980 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 1.83% or 19 points to 1020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 147 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.58% or 0.38 to $65.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.19% or 0.92 to hit $76.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1303.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.5671, while EUR/ILS fell 0.29% to 4.1986.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.55.
