At the close of European trade, Germany’s DAX rose 2.21%, London’s FTSE 100 gained 0.85%, France’s CAC 40 climbed 2.42% and the EURO STOXX 50 was up 2.43%.
Meanwhile, on Wall Street, equity markets were up after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.55%; the S&P 500 index gained 1.92%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 1.56%.
