Investing.com - Home Depot (N:HD) reported better than expected fourth quarter earnings and revenue on Tuesday as sales were boosted by the improving housing market.
Earnings per share came in at $1.17, beating forecasts for earnings of $1.10 and up from earnings of $1.05 a year earlier.
Fourth quarter revenue totaled $21.0 billion, a 9.5% increase from the fourth quarter of 2014, compared to forecasts of $20.38 billion.
Shares of the company rose 2.6% to $126.04 in premarket trading.
