HONG KONG, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Monday, with energy shares supporting the broader market as a weaker dollar and earnings optimism boosted shares of coal and oil companies.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index <.HSI> finished up 0.47 percent to 23,627.91, paring some of its earlier gains as property stocks saw a mild selloff into the close.
The China Enterprises Index <.HSCE> rose 0.97 percent, helped by a 2.57 percent jump on the Shanghai Composite Index <.SSEC>. (Reporting by Vikram Subhedar; Editing by Chris Lewis) (vikram.subhedar@thomsonreuters.com; +852 2843 6975; Reuters Messaging: vikram.subhedar.reuters.com@reuters.net))
