HONG KONG, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks ended lower on Tuesday, hit by retreat in the Chinese market as mainland banks and brokerages rushed to raise cash after a slew of tightening measures this month left them short of funds.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index <.HSI> finished down 0.68 percent at 23,0007.99. The index lost 0.4 percent in November, its first monthly loss in three months.
The China Enterprises Index <.HSCE> of top locally listed mainland companies fell 0.55 percent.
The Shanghai Composite Index <.SSEC> dropped 1.61 percent. (Reporting by Jun Ebias; Editing by Chris Lewis)
