HONG KONG, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares ended a tad weaker on Wednesday, following the previous day's sharp late-session selloff, while technical support capped declines.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index <.HSI> fell 0.11 percent to 20,634.98, pulling back from near term support where a gap had opened on the upside on July 23.
Locally listed mainland shares underperformed, as Shanghai's stock market slumped. The China Enterprise Index <.HSCE> ended 0.67 percent lower at 11,495.79 (Reporting by Vikram Subhedar; Editing by Chris Lewis) (vikram.subhedar@thomsonreuters.com; +852 2843 6975; Reuters Messaging: vikram.subhedar.reuters.com@reuters.net))
