HONG KONG, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose slightly on Friday, posting a second successive weekly gain, with large caps including CNOOC Ltd <0883.HK> and HSBC Holdings Plc <0005.HK> helping to offset weakness in locally listed mainland shares.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index <.HSI> rose 0.43 percent to 21,257.39, trading in a narrow technical range through the session after finding support at the 50 percent retracement level of its slide from the August peak to the August low.
The index gained 1.4 percent on the week helped in part by a recovery in overseas markets on the back of better-than-forecast employment data from the United States.
