Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Chemicals and Travel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 3.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were F.G. Europe (AT:ESKr), which rose 2.88% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.678 at the close. Meanwhile, FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 1.75% or 0.040 points to end at 2.330 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) was up 1.71% or 0.14 points to 8.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 27.85% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.057 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 20.00% or 0.008 points to end at 0.032 and Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) was down 12.00% or 0.015 points to 0.110.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 80 to 20 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; falling 27.85% or 0.022 to 0.057.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1106.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.97% or 0.45 to hit $45.87 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.20 to trade at $48.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.0869, while EUR/GBP rose 0.92% to 0.7129.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.12.
