Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 2.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 8.13% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 7.78% or 0.039 points to end at 0.540 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was up 5.00% or 0.18 points to 3.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which fell 10.77% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.116 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 8.90% or 0.07 points to end at 0.67 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was down 5.41% or 0.020 points to 0.350.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 30 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.59% or 6.80 to $1140.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.65% or 0.30 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.60 to trade at $49.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1033, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.7140.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 96.81.
