Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Resources and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 28.11% or 0.10 points to trade at 0.47 at the close. Meanwhile, J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) added 7.43% or 0.026 points to end at 0.376 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) was up 7.06% or 0.30 points to 4.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which fell 10.64% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.084 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 10.00% or 0.004 points to end at 0.036 and Intrakat (AT:INCr) was down 8.16% or 0.040 points to 0.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 27 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.20 to $1129.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.84% or 0.38 to hit $44.84 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.23% or 0.61 to trade at $49.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1202, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7290.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.10.
