Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Korres (AT:KRRr), which rose 2.27% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Reds (AT:CAMr) added 1.61% or 0.005 points to end at 0.316 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 1.55% or 0.007 points to 0.459 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 8.64% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1480 at the close. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 5.84% or 0.1800 points to end at 2.9000 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 5.26% or 0.01 points to 0.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 21 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.31% or 16.65 to $1289.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.31% or 0.15 to trade at $48.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.64% to 1.1050, while EUR/GBP rose 0.81% to 0.9037.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.50% at 97.83.
