Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr), which rose 7.00% or 0.21 points to trade at 3.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 2.89% or 0.32 points to end at 11.40 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 2.12% or 0.08 points to 3.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 10.00% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 8.48% or 0.019 points to end at 0.205 and Euroconsultants SA (AT:ERCr) was down 7.69% or 0.1300 points to 1.5500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 33 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.29% or 3.60 to $1219.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.54% or 0.20 to hit $36.59 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.39 to trade at $38.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1386, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.7969.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.56.
