Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 7.69% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.297 at the close. Meanwhile, Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) added 4.44% or 0.1000 points to end at 2.3500 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 4.27% or 0.070 points to 1.710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 8.94% or 1.05 points to trade at 10.70 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 6.37% or 0.041 points to end at 0.603 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 5.62% or 0.023 points to 0.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 36 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) fell to 3-years lows; losing 6.37% or 0.041 to 0.603.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.15% or 15.45 to $1330.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.68% or 1.29 to hit $46.81 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.86% or 0.93 to trade at $49.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.1248, while EUR/GBP fell 0.78% to 0.8498.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 94.85.
