Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 10.00% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.099 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) added 8.18% or 0.009 points to end at 0.119 and Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) was up 7.32% or 0.12 points to 1.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elgeka (AT:ELGr), which fell 9.78% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.203 at the close. Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) declined 8.86% or 0.04 points to end at 0.43 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 6.48% or 0.070 points to 1.010.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 41 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.20 to $1120.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.28% or 0.60 to hit $46.15 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.31% or 0.67 to trade at $50.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1117, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.7324.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 96.45.
