Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Household and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 6.25% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.119 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 6.12% or 0.006 points to end at 0.104 and Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) was up 2.87% or 0.110 points to 3.940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which fell 5.51% or 0.038 points to trade at 0.652 at the close. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 5.37% or 0.008 points to end at 0.141 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 4.76% or 0.020 points to 0.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 28 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.55 to $1345.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 0.10 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.04 to trade at $45.35 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1110, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8546.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 96.10.
