Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which rose 7.45% or 0.062 points to trade at 0.894 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 4.35% or 0.001 points to end at 0.024 and Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) was up 3.74% or 0.004 points to 0.111 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 25.16% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.116 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 4.96% or 0.06 points to end at 1.15 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) was down 4.06% or 0.99 points to 24.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 44 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.13% or 12.90 to $1157.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.97% or 0.48 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $52.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.90% to 1.1379, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.7429.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.62% at 94.81.
