The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 5.52% or 0.160 points to trade at 2.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) fell 2.84% or 0.0270 points to end at 0.9230 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was up 1.87% or 0.005 points to 0.299 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr), which rose 1.15% or 0.10 points to trade at 8.80 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) declined 2.27% or 0.05 points to end at 2.15 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) was up 0.22% or 0.04 points to 18.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 33 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1293.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.86% or 0.62 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.92% or 0.73 to trade at $78.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.1710, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.88.
