Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 2.95%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which rose 1.54% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) added 0.39% or 0.10 points to end at 25.80 and Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) was up 0.33% or 0.03 points to 9.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which fell 5.15% or 0.60 points to trade at 11.05 at the close. Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) declined 4.91% or 0.13 points to end at 2.52 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was down 4.83% or 0.48 points to 9.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 115 to 13 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 3.50 to $2,477.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.38% or 2.58 to hit $73.73 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.99% or 2.38 to trade at $77.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.21% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.22% at 102.93.
