Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 2.32% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr), which rose 2.19% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.865 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 2.05% or 0.030 points to end at 1.490 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 0.49% or 0.010 points to 2.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which fell 6.74% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.540 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 6.17% or 0.2500 points to end at 3.8000 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 5.75% or 0.185 points to 3.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 89 to 18 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.20% or 2.60 to $1301.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.62% or 1.10 to hit $66.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.27 to trade at $75.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.1555, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8712.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 94.74.
