Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 2.29%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr), which rose 1.94% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) added 1.87% or 0.5400 points to end at 29.4800 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 1.44% or 0.02 points to 1.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 9.09% or 0.0068 points to trade at 0.0680 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 7.39% or 0.150 points to end at 1.880 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was down 5.58% or 0.535 points to 9.045.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 31 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.39% or 0.150 to 1.880.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 7.90 to $1195.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.48% or 1.07 to hit $73.19 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.66% or 1.35 to trade at $82.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1620, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.68.
