Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Household and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 2.10% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 8.91% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) added 4.41% or 0.007 points to end at 0.166 and Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) was up 3.87% or 0.190 points to 5.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 20.73% or 0.340 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 14.69% or 0.0925 points to end at 0.5370 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was down 13.46% or 0.022 points to 0.144.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 32 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 1.70 to $1205.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.51% or 0.38 to hit $75.61 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.62 to trade at $85.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1532, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 95.25.
