Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 2.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 3.08% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.268 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 0.67% or 0.15 points to end at 22.55 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 0.59% or 0.001 points to 0.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 5.82% or 0.055 points to trade at 0.890 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 5.75% or 0.290 points to end at 4.750 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 5.48% or 0.020 points to 0.345.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 82 to 20 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 7.02 to $1322.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.33% or 0.62 to hit $45.95 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.15 to trade at $51.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.2020, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9293.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 91.91.
